How to Add Transfer Trucks

Product Types are how your Organization classifies its products. Product Types are the top-level type of product, not the specific product within that classification. For example, the top-level name may be "Sealcoat" and later a specific product of "AP4 Sealcoat" may be created under that Product Type.

Bitumio has its own classification; however, you can rename any of these classification to be how you would like them to appear in Proposals, Work Orders, etc.

Creating a Transfer Truck

Step 1: Click the "Product Settings" on the Left Navigation Bar then Click "Transfer Trucks

Step 2: This will show a list of Transfer Trucks. Click the blue "Create Transfer Truck" button in the upper right corner.

Step 3: There are four settings to configure a Product Type.

  • Name: This is what your Organization wants to call the Transfer Truck.
  • Default Tonnage: This is how much the transfer truck can haul in a single trip. Below are example values to use:
    • Standard Dump Truck: 17 Tons
    • Side/End Dump: 24 Tons
    • Strong Arm: 24 Tons
    • Transfer: 35 Tons
    • Truck and Pup: 20 Tons
  • Default Hourly Rate: How much do you or your truck leasors charge per hour?
  • Default Rate per Ton: Alternative to Hourly Rate, if you or your leasors charge by weight to haul material, how much is charged per Ton of hauled material?

Step 4: Once all the settings are input, click "Create"
